(Updated December 29, 2008)

Due to a late return from our Australia trip and the press of holiday activities, we are behind schedule in posting the details for our 2009 trips. Our apologies.

The detailed itineraries will be available soon. The summary information below remains accurate regarding the destinations and timing of our scheduled trips, and they will be the only published trips we will be operating in 2009. If you have questions regarding the trips, please don't hesitate to call us at (800) 261-0499 or e-mail us at info@racing-europe.com.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to going racing with you in Europe in 2009.

May 18-25, 2009 (8 days, 7 nights): Ireland. Guineas weekend at The Curragh is the focus of this late-spring trip, scheduled to fit in between the Preakness and the Belmont. The Irish 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas, effectively the middle races of a European Triple Crown for 3-year-old colt and filly milers, are the highlights of the meet. Also run is the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup, one of the most important early tests of the year in Europe for older horses, as well as a number of other races of value and interest.

The timing of our trip will also allow us some racing at a couple of Ireland's smaller but atmospheric flat courses, along with an evening of jump racing at Punchestown. The Irish Thoroughbred is prized worldwide and, as on all our trips to Ireland, we'll visit a number of farms. We'll see some morning training, too.

September 28-October 5, 2009 (8 days, 7 nights): Arc Week in Paris. A fall trip centered on the climactic weekend of the European racing season, featuring the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and six other Group 1 races over two days at Longchamp.

Subject to the final French racing calendar, we expect to be able to fit in racing at some of Paris' other courses such as Saint-Cloud and Vincennes, and also in nearby Chantilly. In any event we will have a training-hours visit in Chantilly, headquarters of most of the major trainers in France. The trip will also include an excursion up to Deauville in Normandy and the breeding farms there. The precise dates of this trip may be adjusted very slightly.
