DERBY WEEK IN ENGLAND
JUNE 1 to JUNE 8, 2010
8 Days, 7 Nights (including one en route)
Anyone interested in horse racing should make a point of taking in Epsom and its great races at least once. The Derby and The Oaks are true sporting originals dating back to the 1700s, and are the inspiration for all such-named races worldwide. The unique racecourse has to be seen — and walked — to be believed and appreciated. The French Derby at Chantilly, historic in its own right, is run the same weekend and those of us with extra ambition will go over for the day to see it. A special treat on this trip is an overnight stay in Newmarket and an extensive visit to its training center and to area farms. We'll also have an evening's racing at one of England's most charming smaller courses and some associated sightseeing.
5 Nights in London, 1 Night in Newmarket
3 days/evenings of racing at Epsom and Windsor
Training and farm visits in Newmarket
An optional day trip to France for the French Derby

A WEEK IN DEAUVILLE
AUGUST 9 to AUGUST 16, 2010
8 Days, 7 Nights (including one en route)
This year, finally make the time to experience Deauville, the "Saratoga/Del Mar" of France. Even if it means missing a bit of the actual Saratoga and Del Mar just this once, we promise you won't be sorry. One of our favorite places in the world to go racing, this beautiful, elegant, and pedestrian-scale seaside town has everything close at hand — including two racecourses, great dining, and France's major concentration of Thoroughbred breeding farms just inland. We'll be there for the season's best racing and for France's most important yearling sale. There are more things to do and see here than we'll be able to get to in a week, but we'll give it our best shot — you can always stay on. An important part of the itinerary will be a full-day's excursion to the 1944 D-Day landing beaches.
6 Nights in Deauville
2 to 4 days/evenings of racing at Deauville, Clairefontaine, and Cabourg
Morning training and Normandy farm visits
The Deauville Select Yearling Sale
An excursion to the D-Day landing beaches

ARGENTINA
NOVEMBER 10 to NOVEMBER 19, 2010
10 days, 9 nights, (including two en route)
Argentina has a rich history of breeding and racing and, in Buenos Aires, one of the most fascinating cities on the planet. Our trip will be built around major days at its two principal racecourses: we'll be at Palermo for the biggest day of the year, featuring the Argentine Derby and Oaks plus other Group 1 racing, and at San Isidro for the Group 1 Gold Cup. Included will be visits to breeding farms and barns during morning training. We'll have a good look at B.A.'s most interesting neighborhoods and organize optional further exploration. There will of course be tango and a traditional Argentine asado (barbecue). Weather and unpredictable scheduling permitting, we hope to also see some football and polo. Before or after our trip dates there are a number of worthwhile excursions you may wish to consider making on your own to other parts of this beautiful country.
