Our England trip highlights the "Originals", the world's most famous and influential Classic races, both contested over the uniquely challenging Epsom course which must be seen -- and walked -- to be appreciated. Plus: an evening at charming Windsor Racecourse, a visit to the Castle, and a Thames River cruise. As options we'll offer a day trip to France for the French Derby, and a two-night extension to Newmarket, England's major training center and the cradle of organized Thoroughbred racing, where we'll see morning works and visit farms, the Jockey Club, and the excellent racing museum.

The Irish Derby at the newly-remodeled Curragh Racecourse is the centerpiece of this mid-summer trip. The three-day Derby Festival's cards are packed with lots of other Group-level racing, including the Group 1 Pretty Polly for fillies and mares. Also included will be an evening at one of Ireland's most atmosphere-rich smaller courses. We'll have a good look at The Curragh during training hours and visit several farms in this country that produces more high-quality bloodstock per capita than any other in the world. And we’ll throw in a sampling of some of Ireland’s most beautiful scenery.

Deauville is our favorite place to go racing in the world. It has everything – two racecourses, a seaside location, great dining, old-world elegance, and all of it within walking range of our hotel. And France’s best horse farms lie just inland. We’ll be there for some of the summer season’s finest racing and an important part of our week will be a full-day excursion to the D-Day landing beaches. We'll look in on Honfleur too. Deauville combines the best of Saratoga, Del Mar, and Kentucky – and then adds just that bit more.
